Whole30/Sugar Detox/AIP Journey - Day 18 FRIDAY!

Happy Friday!

As I write I am just so full!  I'm kinda freaked out about the amount of calories (~1400).  Does it matter?  Really, no it doesn't but my tendencies from the past like to creep back into my head!  This is going to be a short post since nothing really happened today.  It was a work day, so I kept myself busy.  It was my usual morning rituals with a collagen coffee and I had a few bites of the moo-less avocado mousse.  It tasted too much like banana and I had my normal banana reaction of burping.  So I tossed it, I didn't need it around if I'm going to react.  Waste of a couple good avocados.  I guess I should look for one without banana.

I had my first meal at 9:30 this morning.  I bought Green Goddess dressing from Trader Joe's and there was zero sugars in it, so I figured it's safe.  I used that to coat 3 chicken drumsticks that I removed the skin, took off the bone and cut up.  I also put a side of brussels with it.


It wasn't as satisfying as I had hoped and so I ate a piece of bacon as well.

I got home and did a few things (ate a few pieces of roasted cauliflower) and started dinner since I knew D had not had anything since breakfast.  I wasn't super hungry but knew I needed to eat.


This is the Spinach artichoke chicken from Real Plans.  I used 2 big chicken breast and spilt them between me and D.  I should have made it a 3 serving meal!  My stomach thought it was bigger than what it was.  Now I'm stuffed and why did I calculate how many calories it was?!  But really, I ate twice three times today (forgot the few bites of mousse), besides coffee(s), the bacon and cauliflower.  Still, one day of "over eating" does not derail anything.  Tomorrow I probably won't eat until late morning.  Ugh, I hate my brain sometimes, over thinking everything!

Ok, so I said it was going to be short.  Still detoxing, but now I need to relax and forget about what I ate because it's just food and it's important for my body to function.  It doesn't throw anything off and I don't need to hit the gym to work it off either.  Not like I sat down to a huge piece of cake! LOL  Enough said 😝

Edited side note - artichokes are not agreeing with me.  I'm totally congested!  Who knew!?

2nd edit!  I recalculated the recipe and I was way off!! (714 per serving).  I still feel the same though!
