Whole30 Journey - Day 10

Day 10 and it's my dad's birthday!

Unfortunately I won't be seeing him until next week since he is in Florida.  I have his gift for him and will meet him for lunch, so that makes me happy!

I think today will be egg day!  Not for breakfast.  It's Thursday which means breakfast for dinner!

I was awake early.... yes again!  I turned the tv on this time instead of getting up right away.  The big dawg was still sacked out so I had some time.  I cuddled closer to him and listened to the tv with my eyes closed.  I thought, "what do I want to do today".  I got up about an hour later (6am) and headed downstairs.  I let the dogs out and got them fed.  I headed back upstairs and figured today would be a good day to wash the linens.  Easy enough!  When all that was set and going I grabbed my cup of coffee and added some cinnamon and collagen and sat down to write my dad a happy birthday on FB.  Success!  Time for breakfast!

I got my greens in today!  Collard greens, arugula and brussels with 2 slices of bacon and grass fed ground beef.

This morning I will do some cleaning and I have a few errands to run.  I need to go to Vitamin Shoppe since I have some coupons that are expiring on Monday.  Then I want to go to Penzey's Spices since I have a coupon for there as well and I want to explore some other spices.  Yesterday while I was at Whole Foods I forgot spinach!  So I will pop back in there to get that and maybe some more veggies.

Errands done!  I had so many coupons I basically got half off of everything I bought!  Score.  When I got back home I decided to get on the computer for some Beachbody on Demand (BOD).  Yes, I did by the program but got a really good deal.  I wanted to do PiYo or whatever else I wanted.  I figured if I went somewhere and there wasn't a good gym around I would be able to get a workout in if I wanted.  I did A Little Obsessed cardio core.  I really don't do much cardio during the week.  At the gym I walk on the treadmill and incline it between 10% and 14% for 20 minutes at a 4.2 pace.  I can feel it in my legs but I am certainly not huffing and puffing.  I figured 30 minutes a week of sweating from the huff and puff would be okay.  Certainly not the 7 days a week I use to do.  I'm older and wiser about what works and what doesn't.  Chronic cardio isn't one of them.

After I finished I figured it would be good to eat.  At lunch I'm not hungry like I am when I walk up.  No hunger pangs but can tell when I am approaching hunger.  Lunch was chicken thighs reheated in the skillet with sriracha brussels, asparagus and spinach.  More greens for me!  I don't reheat anything in the microwave anymore.  It also taste so much better and really doesn't take any longer besides the extra clean up.

I ended up doing some repairs around the house and some redecorating.  I also bought another plant and it's now my centerpiece on my dining room table.

I think it looks very pretty, but I may change it.  The cat will be on the table even more now!

I didn't think I was going to eat dinner at my usual time because I didn't really feel hungry.  Not until I could smell D's dinner cooking!  I did finish cooking his before I even began mine.  I poached 2 eggs and kept it simple, just some salt.  The last of the cocoa dusted roasted cauliflower and 3 strips of bacon.  I'm going to do this one again next week but I will make sweet potato toast with avocado.  I had a sweet potato ready in the refrigerator but had some last night and didn't feel like carbs today.  Also, I'm saving them for tomorrow when I make burgers.

There was my day, nothing different from most days.  I get up early and tend to stay busy doing things here and there and doing some form of exercise.

Until tomorrow (workday) and Day 11.
