Whole30/Sugar Detox/AIP Journey - Day 17

Day 17 and going strong with my detox.  I feel good minus the lack of being able to sleep in at all.  Of course tomorrow I have to work so I know that will be the morning I will want to sleep!  I think I was up around 5:30.  I woke and just laid there but then turned on the tv.  That's when the cat came in and Jack decided to stir and finally get up and start heading downstairs.  That's my cue to get up and let him out.  Sleep wasn't great anyway.  My upper back is so sore from the massage but I had so much tension that it really needed to be worked out.  After I got the animals situated I got my shoulder heating pad out and warmed it up and got my coffee.  I had to work on my computer and get a couple packages mailed out along with getting a few things done around the house.  I had laundry and I wanted to do another 80 Obsession workout.  Today was AAA, arms, abs and a*s.  I didn't break a sweat and I have either 8 lb or 25 lb weights, so I'm doing this with 8 lbs.  After my workout I colored my hair, it was about time.  I figured while that was processing I would have time to finally eat, since I was finally getting hungry.

Breakfast hash!  I took one already roasted sweet potato chopped and onions to my cast iron with coconut oil and began to cook that up.  I added a little bit of squash, leftover ground pork and arugula.  Some salt and some seasonings and breakfast was ready in 5 minutes.

After breakfast I got cleaned up and and headed out the door.  I had several stops to make.  I wanted to get a few plants, look for a desk, pick up a birthday gift for my step dad and pick up meds for Jack at the vet.  I also stopped at Starbucks for a coffee.  I probably shouldn't be doing that almost everyday!

So, I got home and decided I wanted to make a couple things.  I wan't hungry but knew I had some ingredients I didn't want to waste.  So I made one plantain waffle with the one plantain I had and froze that.  I wasn't pretty looking so I'll spare you the picture!  I also made from 21DSD (21 Day Sugar Detox) Moo-less avocado mousse.  I has 2 avocados, 2 bananas, cacao, cinnamon, coconut milk, vanilla and salt.  That's it!  Easy and no sugar.  So since I am doing a Whole30/Sugar Detox it fits into what I'm doing.  I had a few bites and though the recipe says it's for 2, I made 3.  I may just have some in the morning and add some collagen.  Will see what happens.
I did some stretching and decided to run back out one more time to Target and see if I could find a desk.  Which I did and under what I wanted to pay.  I'm going to transform the dog room into my office and this is the start.  I'm so excited to finally get it going.  I know D will be surprised when he sees it.  Though when I was putting it together 1 of the bars hit me in the head, so I have a lump and a slight headache.

Now it was time for dinner and I certainly was excited for this one.  Ribeye steak!

Another Real Plans meal.  This has seriously been the best week ever!  I am so happy that I was watching Steph Gadreau of Stupid Easy Paleo when she was talking all about this.  Tonight was ribeye steak with a bone broth reduction and herbed cauliflower.  The steak was suppose to be filet but ribeye sounded good and the reduction was suppose to have wine but omitted and the cauliflower should have been mashed.  So I made it my own, some tweaks in a recipe is fine as long as you know how to cook in the first place.  Good thing for me right!

Speaking of knowing how to cook, it's one thing I am looking forward to as an NTP, either teaching someone how to cook great food or cooking for them.  I'm also looking forward to doing some recipe development too.  So many things to think about and do, exciting!

So until tomorrow.  I need to relax my back and hip more tonight before work tomorrow.  Also going to create a juice tomorrow and an açaí bowl at work.  I should post those as well!  Stay tuned
